Overview

At 73 stories, the Wilshire Grand Center is the latest addition to the Los Angeles skyline. At 1,100 feet it is the tallest building in America, west of the Mississippi river. It features 900 luxury hotel rooms, 20 floors of office space, restaurants, retail space and a 70th-floor observation deck and pool.

Scope

Exante360 IT network designers and project managers provided design and consulting for the building’s data network and related systems. As required by the project’s shifting management structure, our role quickly evolved from an initial quarterback position as a traditional designer to a trusted advisor directly to Korean Airlines (owner). Exante360 set the IT guidelines for the project and validated every aspect of the technical solution as presented by the integrator to ensure adherence to budget, timeline, desired functionality as well as to achieve the building’s LEED Gold Certification.

Key Highlights

Exante360 was also responsible for the monumental task of documenting all edge data components and connections for the building with an eye on post occupancy operation and maintainability of the building systems.
